I saw the movie that was inspired by this book and thought it was sort of cute. Unfortunately the book was sort of stupid.

If I were 11 I'd probably have loved it. But since I'm not, I didn't. I don't think this book has universal appeal to younger and older readers. ...more

Cute story but it was Cinderella with a few twists and for that reason only I was a bit let down. I wish someone would have said it was a story similar to Cinderella then I may not have thought this author stole this story from Disney LOL. I love Cinderella and liked this one too it just threw me off.

I really enjoyed this re-telling of the Cinderella fairy tale. Ella is the beloved daughter of Sir Peter and Lady Eleanor of Frell.
