I'm exhausted. Not because it is a 900 page book, but because the storyline is so good. I don't know how Follett does it, weaving an extensive fictional story into the actual history, but it's great. Now I need to rest!

3.5 stars, rather than 4 because it's a period of history that I'm already pretty familiar with, so sometimes it just didn't hold my attention as much as the two previous books did. That said, Ned Willard, Sylvie Palot, Rollo Fitzgerald, and Pierre Aumande are intriguing characters set among the real-life people of the turbulence 16th century Europe.
