I started this book because I liked the author's narration of Taylor Jenkin Reid's books. The blurb didn't lie, it's definitely like a Jojo Moyes or Nicholas Sparks. The rants also didn't lie, there wasn't a lot of Oxford; the heroine lead C on, which annoyed me too; her mom disappeared from the picture; the relationship progression to love didn't feel believable, I can go on and on. I didn't care much for the main character, but ending was fine. The need to build relationship was relevant throughout, but the importance of a job was very minimized. It didn't feel so balanced and I would give it a 3.5 actually, but rounding down as it was the sort of book I never was eager to get back to and find out what was going to happen. I did finish it and felt satisfied, but it wasn't at all a page turner or one that grasped my emotions and kept me reeled in.
