This was my first attempt at reading Joe Hill. Horns and The Fireman have been on my to-read list for awhile but just haven't gotten there yet. Strange Weather, four short novels, felt like a good place to start. I like his father's short stories--why not see if some of that magic wore off on the son? The verdict: I found this collection to be pretty mixed.

Four terrific novellas, very different in substance and tone, but each very thought-provoking and intense in its own way.

I really enjoyed this collection of 4 novellas. I love novellas, they pack a punch without extraneous detail. I liked some more than others, which is typical, but Joe Hill's writing is top notch.
