After over two years of slowly making my way through this, I finally reached the end of the road. Poetry isn't necessarily my bread and butter but Ryan is an enjoyable poet for those looking to dip their toe in the water.

This is a really long book! At the pace of 1 -12 poems a day, this took me two months to read!
This is broken into sections: new poems, and the poems selected from Flamingo Watching, Elephant Rocks, Say Uncle, and The Niagara River. To my surprise, I wasn't really crazy about the new poems. I had LOVED Niagara River, so I expected I'd be equally (if not more) wowed by new poems. Not so much. The poems from Flamingo Watching are generally cute and witty, in the vein of Ogden Nash.
