I was simultaneously highly engaged by this story, and highly annoyed. I listened to the audiobook, and for the most part I adore Will Patton (*exception noted below). (And, as a result, I may misspell some names - although I looked up the more difficult ones.)

I love fantasy, and myth, and Arthurian legends and magical forests and romance, and this series has it all going on. I love the idea of Cabeswater, I love the magical thinking trees, and how Gwenllian is a part of it. And "The Unmaker" is

So, this is the final book of the series and I have mixed emotions about it. The writing was as good as the previous 3, and I actually really liked it when a chapter would begin with, "Depending on when you started the story, it was the story of Piper, or Henry, or whoever." I really enjoyed the shift to focus on one of the secondary characters and she gave us all of their back story that was relevant to the main action.

This is the fourth and final book in the Raven Boys series. I love the way Steifvater describes things, the way she builds tension, her settings, her characters and her ability to make the supernatural seem like it could happen. I ADORE Will Patton, the audiobook reader. He is amazing and I felt like I was watching a show because he does the voices so well. That said, there is language (which I find hard to listen to on audio) and mild sexual content, so although it's YA, it's not easy to recomm ...more

Okay, now I can breath again. This is definitely a series that I will probably buy at some point. I liked the ending, which makes the whole thing worth it and I loved how the relationships turned out. But definitely there are some dark moments to this series.

This was the weakest out of all of the books. It's also a book I've been trying to read for ages but would get stuck. I finally went over the hump and am glad for it. Lot of things in this didn't make sense and kept jumping around a bit. It still had that magical quality I liked in the other books though and liked the ending. ...more

Oh, how to review this without spoilers... ? Let's just say, I loved every minute of it. Some parts surprised me, but then they made sense at the same time. Gansey, Blue, Adam, Ronan, Noah. Maybe one day we will meet again. ...more
