What Members Thought
It looks like it took us two months to go through this book, but it felt much longer. The story was ok to me, but I think my kids were too young to put up with the slow pace and old fashioned language. We will not be reading any more of this series. The framing of the story was hard for Melanie (8) to grasp initially, and Natalie (5) could barely be bothered to listen at all. Two star rating for the kids, three star for me.
By the end they were begging for Clementine or Ramona.

I don't remember reading this when I was growing up, but certainly I must have. Though maybe I didn't --- afterall, if I did read it I'm certain I would have no doll furniture left.
