What Members Thought
I loved the setting and the immersion into the culture of India in this light-ish mystery novel set in Madras. Inspector Chopra and his wife are a great example of a loving couple. Baby Ganesh is a cute addition. I found the indsight into corruption, politics and social norms, especially the status of women, illuminating. However the mystery was rather so-so, and relied on a lot of mindblowingly stupid heroics and lucky coincidences. Overall I enjoyed it, but it is not up to Dr. Siri standards.
