3.5 rounded up. The premise is interesting. The characters are quirky and fun. The story was enjoyable with some great moments but not a fully smooth execution. I loved the complex characters but feel that some of them could have their complexities come out through interactions in the book rather than relying on the inner monologue of six different people. That said, it was quite engaging.

I enjoyed the premise of this story but found that it did not draw me in from the beginning. I felt the story dragged on before we got to the traveling. I know that there is supposed to be character development and yet I didn't feel like I truly knew the characters.
I felt the traveling was a bit rushed once we reached that section. This was a book club book and I think I can getting a little tired of reading the same kind of books in our library book club.
