What Members Thought
I've been disappointed in this particular series of Sharon Shinn so far--her work with the Archangel saga is breathtaking, but once she stepped out of that fantasy meets science fiction meets religious commentary universe she stumbles some. Her characters in "Mystic and Rider" are worth the process of working to get to know, but don't be surprised when the story begins in a manner that is all too classic fantasy at its most forgettable.

This was a sweet, fairly cozy fantasy that is also the slowest of slow burn romances. Senneth is a great female main character and I found myself gradually loving every character in their little traveling group.
