This book did a pretty decent job with world building and a fairly interesting main character...and that's about it. The story is set in post-apocalyptic America after superflu epidemic and huge storms driven by climate change have wiped out nearly everything. After "The Fall", smaller groups of people gather together into communities, sharing resources and setting up a new society.
