Book two in the series starring totally inept bounty-hunter Stephanie Plum.

What makes the series for me is the great cast of supporting characters: Ex-“ho” and fellow bounty hunter, Lula (love her outfits!), Steph’s long-suffering mother; and especially Grandma Mazur. Then there are the competing “hunks” in her life: mystery man Ranger, and neighborhood bad boy turned cop, Joe Morelli.

I have had a goal to read the whole series, but so far have only read two of the Stephanie Plum Series. This book has the formulaic feel of some series cozy writers. The supporting characters of Ranger, Joe Morelli, and Grandma Mazur are all well written and provide for some comic (Grandma Mazur), romantic (Morelli), and mysterious danger (Ranger) elements to the story. I was very surprised just how much I enjoyed this book. I wasn't to wild about the first book in this series but decided to give this series another shot. I was very happy I did. The grandmother is so comical and the story line light and fun for a change. I think I am heading out to the library this week and get some other books in this series. I am so glad I decided to give it another whirl.

This wasn't any better or worse then the first these books are like an appetizer, not exactly filling but a guilty pleasure before the main course. I plan on reading the rest of the series because I like it, I just wish I LOVED it. ...more

Eh, some funny parts but I preferred One for the Money. I did like Grandma having a bigger role though. Fun but if it had been 50 pages shorter it would have been better.
