At times I wasn’t sure how much I would like this book... there was a lot of details and at times if felt overwhelming and sad. Then I listened to the the author’s note and realized why. Beautiful piece of literature and the parallels that are drawn upon make this something that should be read as part of High School canon!
3+ stars.... be sure to read the author’s note at the end to understand how powerfully she feels about the story.
I wish the editor had done some cropping to reduce the distractions. It will be interesting to see where the author takes this next.
