I found the title intriguing. The subject matter appealing. I savor books about freak shows, circuses, carnivals. The setting of this book is Coney Island, the early days. The first decades of the last century. That reeled me right in. The tale was rather interesting from a historical perspective. Coney Island and early labor issues.
