I had an awesome review of this book but Goodreads ate it. I'm going to cheat and not try to recreate it. The review itself was too emotional and intense (much like this book) to be able to do it justice again. I'm disappointed that I can't express myself quite the same way again.
Instead just do what I did with this book. Pick it up. Look at the cover and read the back. Then turn to the page and see if this book will let you go.

Wonderful book. The effects of PTSD are amazing are far reaching. What a gripping story told by the daughter of a vet. I've always loved Anderson (she tells a great story) with such wonderful, well-developed characters you feel you are in her protagonist's world.

Anderson never disappoints! Ever since I read "Speak" I have been captivated by all her books.

Wonderful book about a child's and then teen's reaction to her father's PTSD. This one lived up to Anderson's usual wonderful writing & storytelling. Highly recommend and good for both middle & high school in my opinion.
