I really don't know why I liked this book. The plot moved even slower than molasses, it was very icky to read a 30-plus year old man drooling over a 15-year old girl, constant jumps between timelines were making me dizzy. And yet, somehow, against all odds, I liked this book and stuck with it until the end (even if it did take me FOREVER to read). I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. The mystery itself was interesting enough and I felt like it really could have captured me if only the book was better written. The characters seemed very flat to me and I didn't really care much for any of them, and even the love story between Harry and Nola didn't feel all that real to me.
