This books remains a hazy memory for me - every once in a while something reminds me of it, and I try to remember the name but I can't, I struggle, and finally I find it again. So I'm putting it on my list.

I felt like Roy was enamored of her own story too much. The way she withheld details of Sophie Mol's death felt manipulative, an omniscience on the author's part withheld to keep me reading. But I did find myself, when the story did finally reveal itself in the last few pages, to be really moved.
