Stephen King writing under his pseudonym Richard Bachman opens this novel with a epigraph from game show creator Chuck Barris, "The ultimate game show would be one where the losing contestants was killed." I wonder if King was inspired to write this book when he first heard this statement.

This is probably not my most favorite book by Stephen that I have read. It was ok.
