Set during the Napoleonic Wars but with dragons drafted by the English and the French to support the fight. In Book 2, we get to see the relationship between Laurence and Temeraire evolve against a new threat when the Chinese come in search of their imperial dragon after he was intercepted by the Brits. Ok, I admit to enjoying the fantasy genre. It touches that child in me who wants to believe that wonderful things are out there. These dragons and their tenders have grasped my imagination and I find myself really involved with their stories. More, please, Ms. Novik.
