What Members Thought

This book was a slow go for me. For about 3/4th of the book, I thought it was entertaining but nothing special. Initially I was frustrated with Circe being so naive and somewhat clueless when no one else around her was. It seemed to take a very long time for her to gain wisdom, strength and maturity. But then she did and the last quarter of the book was the best and made what was an average book into a good one for me.

3.5 stars, rounded down. There are a lot of characters in this (typical of mythology) and so many of the myths are covered, with Circe involved. Maybe if I'd read The Odyssey I would have enjoyed this more? I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. The narration was enjoyable though.
