The book opens with "When I was born, the name for what I was did not exist." By the end, we know who Circe was and we know ourselves a little better, too. This classic tale, told so effectively from a woman's perspective, resonated with me - I loved it.

Really enjoyed this book! Circe is unlike any other goddess- she’s not self absorbed or vindictive. So neat to read about old favorites such as Jason, Daedalus, and Odysseus. The ending is a surprise but then again, not really.
