Little Brother is a young adult dystopian novel. Marcus is a high school student living in San Francisco when terrorists bomb the Bay Bridge killing thousands. The Department of Homeland Security swoops in and soon people are willing to waive their rights in the name of security. After he and his friends are arrested and interrogated for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Marcus decides they must fight back against DHS in order to get back their country.

I am not sure how this book came to be in my pile of books to choose from (maybe suggested by amazon?) but there it was and after reading the flyleaf it seemed the most interesting of the current pile. But I did not think I was going to like it. I mean it definitely sounded like it was written for teenagers and I am so not a teenager anymore. I just couldn't finished this one (and I tried!). There was far too much jargonese and 'teaching/preaching' of stuff. No doubt some tech-heads will love all the data details, but it was just simply too much for me. Not enough 'meat' in the storyline.
