I have this with my epistolary novels, but really it's written in a diary format - so that's just for lack of a better classification. I had never heard of this until recently, which is hard to believe because I guess it's a really big deal in England and is part of a multi-volume series. It started out slowly for me and took a while to get into but ended up being pretty funny. It kind of reminded me of Roald Dahl's Boy and even a little bit of Bridget Jones because of the diary format.
