Loved it!
Do yourself a favor, and read this book! Family is its mantra.
I’m not a YA junkie and, in fact, like few YA books, but I loved this one. Unlike some YA novels, this one is not overly dramatic and has just enough teen angst to make it believable and real. It’s well-written, and surprisingly evoked an emotional response in me—especially the last 50 pages.
The plot came full circle, resulting in a novel easy to grasp and filled with likeable and developed characters.

I always have a book on my phone (due to lack of seating on the subway) and ensuring I always have something to read. I purchased this book shortly after it won the National Book Award and knew I would eventually get to it. This past week was a busy week on the subway and I chose to walk instead of transit.
