There were absolutely things that I liked about this book - namely, I was very interested in the story of Elaine as a child, and her interactions with her supposed friends as a young girl. The emotions and her connection to Cordelia throughout her adult life rang very true to me, though I can imagine that they may seem exaggerated or unrelatable to others.
