This was the first book I read from Green and I really liked it. To be more specific I liked the characters, story was something to be predicted easily and seen in lots of YA novels.
But the characters were really well shaped. Starting with Aza, the protagonist, she is dealing with some mental issues that make her to see everything and everyone around her a danger to her health so she cannot get close to anyone.

I actually liked this better than “The Fault In Our Stars,” which surprised me. He has a deft hand with character across genders, and I appreciate that skill. The story kept me on my toes, and I loved the Indianapolis sense of place.
John Green does it again. He writes about intelligent, compassionate, authentic teens for readers with the same qualities of all ages.
“My whole life I thought I was the star of an overly earnest romance movie, and it turns out I was in a goddamned buddy comedy all along.”
