I really loved Scarlett Johansson's reading of this story. She did an excellent job with the different voices. The story itself is honestly nonsensical. I have always loved Alice in Wonderland and never bothered to read the true story by Lewis Carroll. Now that I have I am a little torn. I love the nonsense in the story and at the same time, it didn't feel like a real story. Just a jumbling of weird things and thoughts.

This is the first time I have read this book, I had it as a child but the Disney movie is one of my least favorite movie ever, so I don't think I ever got around to finish back then, I believe most of the "meaning" and "symbols" of the book when over my head, but I read it as a group read, and I 'm sure the discussion would bring theme up, but they way is written is so beautiful and whimsical that I couldn't help but enjoy it.
