What Members Thought
A collection of three unrelated novellas, all exactly as dreamy and weird and wonderful as you would expect from Laini Taylor. Each story involves a kiss, and there is love involved, but these are not romances.
The first story is a modern re-telling of Christina Rossetti's poem.

I've come to expect beautiful, lyrical writing from Laini Taylor and she did not disappoint in Lips Touch.
Goblin Fruit was well-written and entertaining but not my favorite in the bunch. While I enjoyed the overall story I did not like the repetitive mentions of animal deaths and subsequent blood. I have not read the poem it is based on or the fairy tales behind it so perhaps it was perfectly in line with those. But I have a low tolerance for gore of the non-human animal variety.

Lips Touch is a collection of three short stories/novellas, all involving supernatural elements and a kiss. In one story, a goblin disguises himself in order to lure a young girl into a kiss that may be the end of her. In the second story, a British woman in India serves as an ambassador to Hell and is forced into making a deal that could destroy a girl's life. The third story is about a young woman who was held captive as the pet of a tribe of immortal beings and escapes with her unborn child.
