This started a bit slow and way too many characters were introduced in the first chapter. But after the main character, Brat, showed up, I was hooked. It became a fun and slow paced mystery with a likable MC. I recommend it.
I read this for my book club read in January. I was a little hesitant after reading "Helter Skelter" for our last read. This was my first book I ever read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did predict the ending but I wasn't sure how it would officially come about. Another reviewer said that it reminded them of an old Jodie Foster movie called "Candleshoe" it's been a long time since I've seen the movie but it reminded me of it too. I wouldn't oppose to reading more of Ms. Tey's myst
