Some pacing issues but I still enjoyed it. I think.
This didn't make me want to read the Island of Dr. Moreau but it was deeply fucked up and gorgeous.

What a wild ride of a story, definitely different then anything I've read lately. I've never read the H.G Wells story this book was inspired by. But now because of it I just might. I really liked the authors writing style and the gothic feel of the novel. It definitely kept me reading because of all the plot twists. Looking forward to the sequel!
