I really enjoyed this book more than I expected. In fact, it was nothing like I expected. I really liked the twist on the historical events to include vampires. I can't wait to see how the movie stacks up to the book.

Love the idea. The story is well-woven with historical 'truth'... though at times a bit dryly told. Still, a fun tale that sat with me afterwards...

This was a highly entertaining book. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote it in a "Blair Witch Project" style, meaning that he asserted up front that it was true, though you knew that it was not. I really enjoyed the way he stayed true to history, yet invented his own reasons why history happened the way it did, which of course supported the story at hand. Very good read.
