Listened to the excellent audio version and loved every minute. I work in downtown Dallas and even took a JFK tour after finishing the book yesterday. I thought the post-assassination plot took away from everything King had built though, and the yellow card man’s role was a bit thin. Gotta say, I don’t think Dallas is in any way as evil as Derry!
This is my first Stephen King novel and I don't think it will be my last (although I'll be keeping well clear of the horror stories!).
This was a fantastic read and although I was initially a little daunted by the size of it, I got swept up in the story and it didn't really seem that long. It took me a long time to read this ( I am not great with very long books !). However, I am glad that I did. The ending was riveting.
Man, at the beginning of this book, I was ready to rate it 4 stars. Interesting premise that hooked me early. I was suspicious of the 800-page length, though, and it turned out to be with good reason. Entire chapters could have been cut toward the middle and end that would have failed to reduce my enjoyment at all, and I found the ending profoundly dissatisfying. Even something ambiguous would've been better--although I'm biased there, because I quite like ambiguous endings.

I loved this book from the very beginning, and there were multiple times throughout where I couldn't put it down. I love the time travel aspect of it, and it gave me some new things to consider regarding how all of our actions change something in the future.
