What Members Thought

This is a tricky book to rate, but well worth reading. As it explores the experience of mental illness from the inside, it is frequently confusing and sometimes quite irritating, particularly in the first half of the book before you gets used to the rhythm. But know that all the choices are purposeful and in service of the experience being deliberately provided, and that the book has something important to say if you stay until the end.

This book takes a little getting into because of the twisted realities of the narrative but it is the first book I've read about mental illness that made me feel the inside of the suffering, the descent and the bumps along the way.
