Hard to get through for me. If I had known the structure of the book before I started, I would've saved myself a lot of confusion. I think this is a great book for would-be writers and lovers of literature. I enjoyed it because I like details and found the historical context interesting. I have The New York Trilogy waiting for me so I'm eager to see if they're at all similar. DNF at 10%... I might have stuck with it if Ferguson just had one story to tell rather than four. Too many books, not enough time :)
