Such a sweet story about the ties that bind families. I adore historical fiction, especially Southern fiction, and this story was so original and well developed.
My largest critique is the writing. In some ways it was obvious to tell Laura Lane McNeil is a new author. That being said, I think the writing was very strong in other places and so I look forward to seeing what else she'll publish because I'll definitely be reading it! ...more
