Vincent Bugliosi was a rising star in the Los Angeles District Attorney's office when he was assigned one of the office's most high-profile cases in history -- the enigmatic murders of seven Angelenos, five perpetrated at the home of film director Roman Polanski and victimizing his pregnant wife, starlet Sharon Tate. And I thought "In Cold Blood" was strange... Hmm probably last over 600 page book I will read for a while. I'm going to now have to watch " Valley of the Dolls". Interesting but way too long of a book. ...more

A fascinating story of the Manson family rampage across Southern California in the late-1960s. This book was actually written by the prosecutor who tried the case against Charles Manson and his cult of followers. The really scary thing about Charles Manson is the people that he managed to get to follow him. On the outside, they could be anyone. From a homecoming queen to an abused runaway.

I hope they never, ever get out of prison.
