I finished this book last night but had to think about what I want to rate it. I found it an easy read and pretty fast paced but again I want a book to scare me and again this one didn't.
I thought it was creepy and spooky and perfect to read the week before Halloween. Marjorie and Merry are sisters and they write stories together. One day Marjorie's story was scary to Merry and Marjorie was acting and talking strange. Weird things kept happening and Marjorie's stories got more and more scary and ...more

I read this for Spookathon 2016.

This book was a bit too dark for me. it started out scary, but ended up dark and depressing...maybe? Not sure if that's the right word. I found the blog posts written by Karen really annoying and pointless. But I did like the book, so I guess I'd give this a 3.5.

It took me forever to finish this book. It was soo boring - the story didn't quite work and felt forced, the characters were boring and very much alike. The author, being an adult male, took a gamble to write from the perspective for an 8-year old female child and it didn't pay out. Little Merry ended up being a cartoon character with no personality whatsoever. Stephen King famously said that this book scared him, but absolutely NOTHING in this book was even remotely scary or suspenseful.

A Head Full of Ghosts is the story of a family dealing with a teenage daughter that is showing signs of mental illness. As they try to help the girl, they begin to suspect that there may be supernatural influences involved in her behavior. The story is told from the perspective of the younger (8 year old) sister witnessing her family falling apart. The family agrees to allow their struggle to become a reality show which further complicates the questions of what is real, what is fake, and what is
