What Members Thought
I have to say I loved hearing the Russian names and accents, even though I was so confused who was who and where was where at the beginning. A wonderful fantasy and strong character development. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to finish the trilogy.

This is a good novel that is well written and certainly deeply researched. Parts of it really sing and then others are bogged down by lengthy exposition. You can tell this is due to the fact that it's the first in a trilogy and so the plot is being stretched out as much as possible, or at least it seemed that way to me. I liked the character of Vasya and would be interested to see where her adventures lead her but I'm not sure I want to take the plunge if the other novels are this drawn out.
