I listened to the audiobook of My Sister's Keeper and am not entirely convinced it worked...if I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. The story is told by multiple narrators and there were multiple readers to correspond with each character (good thing) but because the story is not told in a linear fashion and each narrator bounces back and forth between the present situation and past-tense flashbacks that either pertain to the story or that person's personality and actions as a character, sometimes

I felt a little generous today, so I opted to round up (I would've given this book a 3.5 stars). There's a lot of hype with the movie, and, having to shelve fiction most mornings that I worked at BN, I saw Jodi Picoult's books all the time in passing. Never felt compelled to read any of it, until I saw the clips from the movie.
