I thought this book was fantastic, and was very surprised to see so many negative reviews!
In reviewing my list of favorite books, it's pretty clear that I have a strong affection for stories that feature very flawed, very "human" characters, and Good Squad is no exception. I found my heaven in this book as it's a jackpot stash of characters who literally lie, cheat, and steal.

The PowerPoint chapter was cool and innovative. Figuring out how all of the characters were related was sometimes a challenge but that may be because I never read more than a chapter or two, before moving on to something else. Each character had something that felt really sad and depressing within their personality or storyline, which is most likely why I kept putting it down.

I don't recommend this to my friends to read. I feel empty after having read it, without any satisfying conclusions. It is not like it really made me think either and challenge myself in a new way...it just made me glad I had clear principles at a young age and I stayed drug-free. Maybe I should have given it more thought and analysis, but I DIDN'T CARE enough about the many vignettes, the ever-changing writing styles and time leaps, and most especially the characters.
