What Members Thought

This was an amazing read. Believe it or not this was a new to me author. It's hard to fathom with the sheer number of books she's written that I'd never read a single one prior to this one. This is one of those books that just keeps you thinking about right and wrong. There is never a simple answer to anything anymore. I'm hoping there will be a movie made from this one. Octavia Spencer or Viola Davis would be wonderful in the nurse's role, Ed Norton as the baby's father, maybe someone like Aman

Jodi Picoult is a formulaic author who never stints on the number of words. She chooses a controversial or emotive issue and uses the storyline to almost discuss the important facets. This book is no different and centres on Race inequality through the central character, a midwife and committed professional. It is one of Picoult's books that i have enjoyed more than others, i think she has created a book that highlights inequality in a new and creative way. The characterisation is excellent and
