The opening of this book shows a woman trying to come to terms with the horrendous and tragic act perpetrate by her son and another teen. The early book raised a great deal of sympathy in my mind. The blame culture that we live in made for a very difficult time for this family. However it astounds me that 17 years after an event she would put together a book which totally fails to balance the good and bad in her son, that focuses almost entirely on how he was a good boy and how he must have been

No spoilers here. The story of how Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris killed 12 fellow students and one teacher is known to almost every American and beyond. In this book Sue Klebold is facing up to what her son has done and trying to make sense of the incomprehensible. All in all she does a good and honest job of this and makes the horror clear. Riveting. Could not put this book down. I admire Klebold's efforts to understand brain illness and her efforts to help others.
