This is a great read and I think a good start for people getting into poetry as it was a fairly quick and easy read. Huge topics like self acceptance, love, grief and loss were discussed. I thought the poems on grief were particularly well done and I had a more emotional response to these poems. The love poems were a bit syrupy for my personal taste but there is something here for everyone. It will be interesting to see how Amanda's thoughts mature and writing expands with more experience. I am always looking for a good book of poetry, especially ones that tell the story of others. It probably does not help that "Aunt Flow" came and I am an emotional mess of reading books, drinking tea, and sobbing at the TV Show New Girl. I'm not normally a poetry kind of gal but I really enjoy Amanda Lovelace's work. This is the second book I've read by Lovelace and it was great. It's a quick read that I can see myself re-reading again.

I'm not a fan of poetry but this was an emotional read for me. Some of the poems really spoke to me and I found myself constantly marking the poems that most resonated with me.
Specially enjoyed the last part, where it branches out to different subjects, I found it uplifting.
