This was better than I expected - well written, interesting mix of mystery and moral tale. I knew the solution, of course, but the explanation was unexpected and interesting.

I finally finished this book. The only reason it took me so long to read this book is because I had some ER books that needed to be read before I could finish this book. I am glad I waited until I finished those books to read this one. I was able to concentrate on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I was surprised that most of this story was told from a third person's point of view. The story was very short, but that didn't limit the amount of detail added. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, it wasn't so creepy that I had nightmares:) My favorite part of this book was the accurate description of addiction and temptation, I felt like even though Mr. Hyde was an extreme, we can all identify in our own lives with whatever trials we are trying to overcome. ...more

There are two stories in this book, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Bottle Imp.

J/H was a little disappointing. I think it has aged a lot, and, though it is scary, it's also kinda boring. Or, I thought the big revalation, explanation, whatever was a little bit too easy. Ok, but not amazing. 2,5 stars, even though it gives me pain, as it is such a classic.
