I’ve had bad luck with highly touted YA lately (barfs on Twilight) but was unable to resist this one, probably on account of the cover because corsets and old-fashioned undies fascinate me (even my wedding dress had a corset back). And after the first chapter, I wanted to strangle the main character, Gemma, for being the worst kind of whiny, teenage bitch out there, so I kept thinking, "Oh God, here we go again." I was ready to chalk this one up as another disappointment but then things changed

Very interesting choice of a plane read, I read it in two short hours my mom not believing I read the whole thing in that time period. Interesting novel great read! Can't wait for the next book!!

I was a little afraid that this book would suck because most of my friends gave it two stars, but it was decent. I thought the characters were not as interesting as they could have been and the book was a bit too long. I will probably read the others.
