This book gives you the ultimate in unreliable narrators- a husband and wife team. You can't take anything that either Nick or Amy say at face value.

No way to talk about the book without SPOILERS********

Well what can I say, I read the book. I haven't seen the movie so nothing was spoiled for me. I didn't find this book a thriller or very suspenseful. This is a brilliantly written thriller. The story keeps twisting and turning, she keeps you interested and even when you predict the next turn, you are still surprised. Flynn clearly has done her research on how a psycopath sees the world.

The book suffered, because I'd already seen the movie. So no surprises. I don't really know how to review the book and not the movie. I enjoyed the murkiness. I didn't know who to like, who to root for. I'm thinking Ben Affleck wasn't the right choice, though. I'm not really sure.

Can't write anything intelligent, so I'll just not. Sorry.
