I bought this for my daughter about a year ago and finally (!) got around to reading it myself.
I am in all kinds of love. I wish I had something more eloquent to say about it, but trying to think of something is actually just making me want to sit down and read it again. A really entertaining skewering of the medieval world in a postmodern style. As a blurb on the back says, it has humor and heart. It also has a wry sense of wit that keeps things entertaining and engaging even when things get poignant. I liked the progression of and improvement in style as the book moved along. You can tell this was a labor of love over time as Stevenson's style developed.
