I think this book was okay. Many people think the author made it up, I don't think so. I think he wrote from his own personal experience. This isn't something that someone decides to write about. Of coarse his grandmother and brother said it wasn't true. His grandmother was nasty, like his mom. His brothers ignored the abuse Dave had, and even joined in after Dave acted up at the grocery store.

He could have went into more detail about why his mother abused him. Or why his mother only abused hi ...more
