What Members Thought
As this was a reference book to the "beasts" in the wizarding world. Text was higgly descriptive and honestly I would have loved and appreciated this even more if it was fully illustrated. The upcoming movie based on this work might just answer my need for visuals. The scribbles and notes from Harry and Ron added the right bit of humor. Overall, curiously quite enjoyable. :)

I gave this book three stars simply because it reads as a textbook rather than a story, and I would reserve higher ratings for stories I would want to read again. However, as long as you know that this is a textbook, you can read it to become even more involved in the amazing world of Harry Potter. I love the notes from Harry and Ron, and the lengths taken to make the wizarding world more real. The descriptions of the various beasts is truly creative and entertaining.
