What Members Thought

I first read this back in 1997 & thought it was just OK back then, having read much better children's fantasy. I enjoyed more this time, 25 years later, perhaps I just appreciate better the simple but entertaining storyline that captured the interest of so many people back then, & is still doing now. It isn't particularly well-written but it's straightforward, easy to read & occasionally amusing. Revised from 2* to 3* (not that anyone cares any more).
